BASIC FUNCTION:
Plans, directs and supervises
all aspects of the corporate training programming including marketing, budget
management, curriculum development and serving as liaison to business leaders
in the county.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
v
Manages
corporate training budget.
v
Ensures
profitability of corporate training unit.
v
Hires,
supervises and evaluates administrative and career employees.
v
Develops
and implements comprehensive marketing plan for corporate training.
v
Supervises
development of curriculum and programs to support corporate training.
v
Networks
with business leaders.
v
Participates
in county and city Economic Development activities, including participating on
recruiting team for corporate relocations.
v
Coordinates
with appropriate state and federal agencies.
v
Represents
college on state continuing education deans' council.
v
Monitors
corporate training compliance with college policies and procedures.
v
Serves
as liaison with college credit program, and programs and develops partnerships
for joint programming.
v
Supervises
preparation and monitoring of grants.
v
Performs
related duties as required.
EDUCATIONAL
REQUIREMENTS:
Master's degree in a
business-related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE
REQUIREMENTS:
Five (5) years successful
experience developing and marketing corporate training programs.
KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES/SKILL
REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of developing and
implementing curriculum for corporate training, budget development and
management, state-of-the-art delivery methodologies in management/technology training.
Communications skills, both written and verbal, appropriate for corporate
environment. Knowledge of methods of evaluating effectiveness of training
programs, needs assessment methodologies in a corporate environment, and
strategies for networking to build corporate partnerships. Skill in grant
writing.
