Apollo/Alumni Achievement Award
The Apollo Award, given each year since 1966, is presented by the St. Petersburg College Alumni Association to the outstanding associate degree graduate. Winners are chosen for their leadership, scholastic standing, community service, honors and awards. The Alumni Achievement Award honors the same qualities in an outstanding baccalaureate graduate.
Applicant guidelines
Applicants must have:
- Graduated from SPC in July or December of 2011, or will be graduating in May of 2012
- Minimum GPA of 3.25 for Apollo Award and 3.50 for Achievement Award
- Demonstrated leadership qualities
- Been involved in college activities
- Participated in community service
NOTE: Applicants for the Alumni Achievement Award must have attended SPC for all 4 years of their college career. No transfer students will be considered. Apollo Award winners are eligible to receive the Alumni Achievement Award as well, but will not be given special consideration. Ready to get started?

Nhi Do became the first Collegiate High School graduate to win the Apollo Award.

She was one of four finalists for the prestigious recognition and was awarded a $1,000 check to recognize her achievements both in and outside the college.
In all, 49 students have been Apollo award recipients since the award began in 1966.

Linaea Floden was selected the second Alumni Achievement Award winner.

Floden was one of two finalists and was awarded a $1,500 scholarship by the SPC Alumni Association Inc. Board of Directors in recognition of her outstanding leadership skills, scholastic standing, community services, honors and awards.
She plans to earn a Master of Arts degree in Architecture and Community Design from the University of South Florida.
