dualDual Enrollment program at St. Petersburg College

Earn college credits for free! 

St. Petersburg College offers college classes to qualified high school students in Pinellas County for no charge! These courses also fulfill high school graduation requirements.

Here is how to qualify:

  • Have a 3.0 unweighted cumulative GPA, or a 3.0 in a subject area you want to study at SPC
  • Be enrolled in grade 11 or 12. (Private school and home schoolers may begin in 10th grade.)
  • Earn satisfactory scores on the College Placement Test (CPT) or SAT/ACT.

Contact your high school guidance counselor to see if you are eligible to take Dual Enrollment classes at SPC.

If you successfully complete a Dual Enrollment course, you also will receive high school credit. Many Dual Enrollment classes also are offered at public and private high schools. Ask your guidance counselor for details. 

Federal law prohibits the college from releasing information regarding a student's progress in college courses to a third party without the student's written consent.

A college GPA of 2.0 (C average) is required to remain in the Dual Enrollment program.
