Application instructions

Please read the following information carefully before accessing the "Apply Now" button at the bottom of this page:

1 - Review requirements
Please review the Foundation Scholarship Requirements before applying.

2 - Sign on
Before you begin the application process, first time applicants will be asked to create a username and password.

3 - Completing the application
After signing on, answer all applicable questions. If questions are left unanswered, it will reduce your chance of matching with the more than 100 scholarships available. Review list of available Foundation Scholarships. (pdf)

TIP: The application has a 45-minute time out. If you don't click the save button within that time frame, you will lose everything you have typed in the application to that point.  When you get to the essay question portion of the application, it is best to save the application and type the answers to the essays in a word processing software and then copy and paste them into the application.

4 - Letters of Recommendation
The last page of the application asks for at least two names and e-mail addresses for letters of recommendation. (We suggest including three to be on the safe side). All Foundation scholarships require two letters of recommendation by the deadlines listed above to be considered for an award.

TIPS:

  • Contact your recommender prior to putting their name and e-mail address into the application.  Ask them to add notify@ngwebsolutions.com to their e-mail contacts to avoid potential spam or junk mail issues when they are contacted.

  • Check on your recommendations frequently. It is your responsibility to keep in contact with your recommenders and make sure we receive two recommendations back. If they have not responded, you can send them an e-mail reminder.

  • If a recommender has not replied, you can withdraw a recommender and put in a new one.

5 - Submit the application
After completing all requested information, click "submit". You will receive a confirmation e-mail.

NOTE: Once the application has been submitted, you cannot change any of the information in the application.  However, the student can go back into the application to manage their letters of recommendation. (See step 3 above)

Thank You Letters

Scholarship donors are generous and caring people who unselfishly give to support the educational endeavors of students like you. They typically ask for nothing in return, but receiving a well-written thank you letter lets the donor know that his or her scholarship was greatly appreciated. Your letter reminds them why they gave in the first place and often helps secure continuing gifts for future students.

Review the following tips and sample to help you compose your own thank you letter. Be sure to proofread what you’ve written to make sure your letter is free of both grammatical and spelling errors.

Thank You Note Tips

  1. Write clearly and concisely.
  2. Double-check for typos and grammatical errors.
  3. Be sincere.
  4. Express enthusiasm.
  5. Use quality paper or a note card.
