POSITION DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE: Director, IT Security Program

DEPARTMENT: Campus Executive Officer SITE: AllState

SALARY SCHEDULE: A&P - GRADE: C

BASIC FUNCTION:

Researches and develops new program opportunities in the Information Technology Security area based on training needs of local and national corporate clients with emphasis on development in the high end security programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conducts industry needs assessment.
Recommends new program areas for Corporate training, with emphasis on high end security programs.
Hires subject matter experts to develop the curriculum
Coordinates with the new Bachelor of Applied Science in IT Security.
Analyzes the potential profitability of new ventures.
Visits corporate clients to market security training programs.
Participates in the Institute for IT Security at the College.
Works with Institutional Advancement to develop the marketing materials and strategies for IT Security Program.
Supervises the staff assistant and instructional design specialists assigned to the program..
Develops an IT Security Portal, IT Security CD-ROM..
Participates in various industry organizations and events to promote IT Security training.
Attends conferences as required.
Manages the departmental and grant budgets related to the program.
Writes and administers grants related to the program.
Performs related duties as required.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree preferred. Education or other training in IT Security required. Experience developing online classes required.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Three (3) years industry experience in an IT Security field. or related management area is required. Experience related to IT Security in a college or industry setting required. Training experience in a corporate setting is desired. Experience in developing marketing materials and strategies is desired.

KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Written and verbal communications skills. Knowledge of IT Security field. Knowledge of training methodologies in a corporate setting for IT Security areas. Ability and skill to interact with corporate executives and their staff. Knowledge of marketing strategies and techniques. Ability to analyze and predict profitability of new ventures. Ability to prepare and deliver computer-generated presentations for marketing purposes. Ability to design and monitor a web portal.
