POSITION TITLE: Videographer, NTPI

BASIC FUNCTION:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Produce and direct video projects in a team environment.
• Research, write, and visualize scripts using faculty, administrators, technologists, and subject matter experts as resources.
• Participate in logistical requirements of travel arrangements of crew and gear transportation.
• Produce, record, and edit audio and video elements as required.
• Perform post-production audio and video editing in both linear and non-linear formats, including creation of computer graphics components.
• Perform studio production activities including lighting, camera operation, floor direction, audio and technical direction.
• Work cooperatively with instructional technologists to incorporate video into distance-learning projects.
• Mentor and instruct junior personnel on video production techniques, including field and studio production, and effective use of the edit suite.
• Participate in the planning of editing and production facilities.
• Create scripts, storyboards, and logs.
• Schedule and coordinate TV studio and remote shooting activities.
• Other related duties as assigned.

B.A. or B.S. degree and specialized professional training - minimum required.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Three to five years field experience doing television production and post-production editing in a commercial broadcasting, cable production unit, industrial, business or educational setting. Examples of actual work shown in a demonstration product essential. Editing experience must be on Affinity, AVID, SONY or other professional level linear/non-linear unit(s).
