POSITION DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE: Moving Services Technician

DEPARTMENT: Facilities Planning & Institutional Services                SITE: Epicenter

SALARY SCHEDULE: Career GRADE: 2

BASIC FUNCTION:

Responsible for relocation, assembly, and installation of furniture and equipment for all College departments. Responsible for assisting in the operation of College-wide warehouse. Work is performed independently under general direction of a Crew Leader.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Performs furniture assembly and installation.

· Uses moving truck to do furniture and equipment moves, as well as conducting inventory on those items.

· Assists with setup and accountability of furniture and equipment for surplus, storage, and auctions...

· Must be customer service focused.

· Must be open to process improvements with a positive attitude.

· Performs related work as assigned

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Warehouse experience. Furniture moving experience.

KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to organize and prioritize work. Communication skills. Must be able to get forklift certified. Must have a valid CDL Class B Florida Drivers License with air brake endorsement. Ability to move and lift heavy materials, furniture and equipment. Ability to pass a post qualification physical examination.
