PeopleSoft Policies
(subject to ongoing review and modification)

Access within PeopleSoft Student Administration is job based.  That is, each individual hired by the college will be provided with the proper access needed to perform his/her job.  If for some reason, it is realized and determined that the access granted is insufficient for a particular individual, he/she should discuss what specific components, screens, or functions are needed with his/her supervisor and complete and submit the access form found here.

The Protection of Information Statement on the Access Agreement Form is a necessary notification of the security expectations of users.  Users must acknowledge the statement each time they are given access to a PeopleSoft component.

Users should receive appropriate training before or shortly after gaining access to a PeopleSoft component.  This training can be administered through a formal training session by a PeopleSoft Functional Specialist or by a qualified end user who is able to provide adequate instruction and assistance.  By approving access and forwarding a request for approval to the appropriate cabinet member who will then send the approval to George Wirtz, the supervisor warrants the user has received or will receive appropriate training.

The username and password for accessing the PeopleSoft Student Administration system is the same username and password used for logging onto a college computer and for getting into Staff Central If a user gets locked out of the system due to excessive failed logon attempts, he/she should contact the Technical Support Desk at 791-2795 to have his/her account access reset.

A user’s access to the Student Administration system will be terminated when his/her employment status terminates.  Also, access to particular components within the system may be revoked if he/she has a change in position at the college or a change in job duties that no longer warrants the need to have that particular access to perform his/her job duties and responsibilities.

Upon termination of an employee from the college and submission of the Employment Separation PAAR, the human resources department will notify George Wirtz of the separation.  Upon receipt of the notification, George will terminate the former employee's access to the system.
