Early College Program/Dual Enrollment

BASIC
FUNCTIONS:
Responsible
for coordinating the Dual Enrollment/Early College Program activities and
schedules for a campus-based program including maintaining and developing
relationships with the public and private high schools in Pinellas County and
for the scheduling of Dual Enrollment/Early College and Early Admission high
school students. Reports to Director, Early College/Dual Enrollment
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as liaison to public and
private high schools in Pinellas
County.
- Work with the Human Resources
Department to assist in the hiring and training process for high school
liaisons.
- Advise students in program
planning, course selection and registration.
- Assist in developing the annual
budget for the Dual Enrollment/Early College programs.
- Assist in developing an annual
listing of approved Dual Enrollment classes.
- Establish effective and
efficient operational procedures for campus-based Dual Enrollment/Early
College programs.
- Maintain consistent communication
with high school liaisons and faculty members involved in the Dual
Enrollment program.
- Monitor and ensure that the faculty
involved in the Dual Enrollment program are properly credentialed and meet
SACS standards.
- Assist in conducting instructional
evaluations of Dual Enrollment adjunct faculty within the local high
schools.
- Develop a detailed process of
record keeping which will be used to monitor enrollment of both Dual
Enrollment and Early Admission students and present this report to the Director
of the Dual Enrollment/Early College program.
- Performs additional duties as
assigned.
EDUCATIONAL
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s
degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED:
Three (3)
years experience in education
KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES/SKILL
REQUIREMENTS:
Strong verbal and written communications skills. Excellent
organizational and coordination skills. Computer
literate with the ability to learn and use those programs necessary for College
support.
