TITLE: Curriculum Designer (Corporate Training)

BASIC FUNCTION:
Responsible for curriculum and multimedia design and development for a
program which includes the design of graphics, audiovisual presentations,
textbooks, manuals and instructional aids.
Supports the ongoing
research, information dissemination, quality monitoring, and coordination of
the operational aspects of curriculum review and development.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develops and
selects curriculum and multimedia education support materials for software
implementation
Identifies the
needs in the program and designs curriculum content
Reviews
and evaluated classes to insure consistency of content and format
Generates
reports and statistical analyses for information purposes and curriculum
improvement
Works
with faculty to enforce established CT rules and procedures
Develops
systems and provides ongoing monitoring of e-learning courses for quality
control
Collaborates
with corporate clients to understand their training needs
Interviews
instructors, reviews student survey of instruction and offers feedback of
results. Provides orientation, issues credentials, and arranges proper
paperwork for instructors.
Attend networking
events and works with the CT advisory committee,
Designs and
publishes collateral for courses in conjunction with marketing
Meets with
instructors and subject matter experts to discuss course and to develop
material and content.
Develops
multimedia presentations for courses, meetings and seminars.
Observes courses
and evaluates program for improvement and revision.
Designs and works
with a database for the program of assignment. Maintains and monitors program
schedule.
Partners with
technology team members to create e-learning modules
Performs related
duties as required.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in instructional system design, adult education,
curriculum planning or related field. Master's degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Three (3)
years experience in computer information and multimedia development including
desktop publishing experience.
KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of computer information systems and multimedia development. Knowledge of desk top publishing. Knowledge of the process
involved in curriculum design and development. Knowledge of
the specific discipline to which assigned. Ability to
perform curriculum design. Ability to write clear and
concise text. Ability to perform database manipulation.
Ability to work with faculty and staff in developing
curriculum. Computer skills. Written and verbal
communications skills. Skill in analyzing information from
various media and incorporating the data into presentations.
