POSITION DESCRIPTION

 

POSITION TITLE: Manager, Business Systems & Accounting, Allstate Center

 

DEPARTMENT: Administrative Services SITE: AC

 

SALARY SCHEDULE: A&P - GRADE: C

 

BASIC FUNCTION:

 

Responsible for working with and supporting the CEO and Allstate Center Program Managers and Directors on all College business and administrative processes, as well as changes and implementation of new systems and procedures. These would include Budgeting, Accounting, Human Resources, Payroll, and Contracting functions in a Credit and Non-credit environment that supports grants and Fund 10 accounts.   Supervises and directs employees in the Administrative Services office.  Responsible for the overall efficiency, economy and effectiveness of business services and administrative functions.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

 

Bachelor’s degree in business or related systems field.  Masters Degree / CPA preferred.

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

 

Ten (10) years progressive and responsible experience in accounting and management. Supervisory experience. Experience in systems implementation of applications or user equivalent. Experienced and skilled in software programs to include PeopleSoft and Excel.

 

KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

 

Leadership, supervisory and team building skills. Knowledge of databases, and software applications. Knowledge of budgeting and accounting practices and procedures.  Working knowledge of all College rules and procedures, and those specifically related to Purchasing, Human Resources, and Payroll.  Ability to analyze complex problems and reports and produce management information in a professional manner.   Familiarity with Project Management concepts and legal aspects of contracts.  Ability to effectively communicate in writing and verbally to management, staff, or other internal or external customers.
