TITLE: Program Director, National Center for Cybersecurity Education

BASIC FUNCTION:
Plans and
directs the Cybersecurity Education program.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-
Responsible for the direction and administration of all activities of
Cybersecurity Education program, ensuring compliance within contractual
parameters.

Develops, prepares, and
updates program course material.
-
Develops schedule of
classes for discipline or program.
-
Advises students in
program planning, course selection, and career guidance.

Recommends the hiring of employees and trains, directs and evaluates work of
staff assigned. Handles discipline and grievances within the department.

Manages and tailors current education and training programs and implements
program controls and evaluation systems.

Promotes program within the community and region.
-
Supervises the development and maintenance of the program budget.
-
Assists in
implementation of in-service training programs for faculty.
-
Provides assistance for
students' programs, laboratory control and inventory, and placement
services.
-
Assists the
provost/assistant provost regarding budget matters for the specific program
area.
-
Interacts with external
industries, businesses, and professional groups on behalf of the college.

Controls
equipment/materials utilized within the program.
-
Communicates with the
provost/assistant provost and faculty regarding program policies,
procedures, and personnel matters.
-
Prepares reports and statistical studies relating to the operations and
services of the department.

Responsible for
establishing informal procedures as needed.

Performs related duties as required.
EDUCATIONAL
REQUIREMENTS:
Master's
degree, with major related to discipline, plus specialized courses in the field.
Industry-recognized certification(s) in the IT Security field preferred.
EXPERIENCE
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of
three(3) years leadership and management experience required. Experience in law
enforcement related to computer crime investigation, Cybersecurity education or
related areas.
KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Direct
experience in and knowledge of the practices and procedures involved in the IT
Security field. Knowledge of teaching techniques in the field of IT Security.
Ability to work with private industry, the community, as well as state and
federal agencies. Ability to design and implement curriculum programs. Ability
to procure and manage grant programs. Ability to coordinate research and
incorporate the results in a the program.
Strong
leadership, management, presentation skills and administrative skills.
