POSITION DESCRIPTION
POSITION TITLE: PeopleSoft Functional Area Coordinator & Trainer
DEPARTMENT: Vice President Administration

BASIC FUNCTION:
Serve as college-wide coordinator for at least one specific functional area regarding the practical use of the PeopleSoft system and its full implementation, improvements and updates.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
v Visit sites to gather information on issues, customer satisfaction and training needs.
v Develop and coordinate communications between each of the functional areas on campuses including Admissions/Registration, Course and Faculty Management, Student Financials and Financial Aid.
v Manage communication and notification to and from other areas including campus functional areas and central records, help desk, enrollment management and institutional advancement.
v Develop, implement and maintain training and educational plan for designated functional area(s).
v Serve as a liaison and resource dealing with PeopleSoft solutions for all campus personnel working in the functional
v areas of responsibility.
v Meet on a regular basis with other PeopleSoft team members including coordinator, and Administrative Information Support (technical) staff.
v Refer college-wide and high impact issues to and provide updates to Senior Vice President Administration regarding the PeopleSoft functional improvement efforts.
v Prioritze and channel all functional area issues and requests to administrators in Administrative and Information Support.
v Assist with key college activities related to registration, schedule building, faculty student and staff support on all campus sites.
v Coordinate testing of system upgrades, patches and fixes.
v Coordinate testing of conversion error programmatic fixes.
v Implement and coordinate change management system for functional area(s).
v Performs related duties as required.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree and five years of related work experience.
KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES/SKILL REQUIREMENT:
Knowledge of PeopleSoft Student System related to the aresa of responsibility. Knowledge of SPC rules and procedures related to area of responsibility.
Ability to develop and implement individual or group training using effective learning strategies. Knowledge of project management methodology, training assessement and implementation. High level problem identification and resolution skills. Demonstrated knowledge of technical systems and resources.
Excellent communication skills.
