v Supervises and coaches at
intercollegiate competition as appropriate.
v Directs training and practice program(s) for the team(s).
v Teaches skills and strategies for use in competition.
v Recruits athletes for college team(s).
v Supervises athletic equipment for specific sport assigned.
v Scouts opponents when appropriate.
v Responsible for maintaining appropriate team conduct.
v Keeps individual and team statistics and records a required.
v Supervises the academic progress of tam members, and arranges for special assistance necessary to improve the likelihood of students' academic/career success.
v Develops schedules and support budget recommendations within guidelines.
v Makes travel arrangements for team within available resources.
v Develops an informational relationship with the Institutional Advancement office.
v Drives college vehicles to and from activities.
v Supervises student employees as assigned.
v Attends college and associated meetings as required.
v Ensures compliance with all required FCCAA and NJCAA rules and regulations.
v Advises students concerning the choice of academic courses to meet their goals.
v Furnishes students with a planned program to meet SPC academic goals and further academic goals.
v Refers students to counselor for any problem which needs to be examined other than academic, such as vocational testing, personal counseling, etc.
v Assists students in registration process.
v Performs other duties as required.
EDUCATIONAL
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree from accredited
college or university required.Master's degree from accredited college or
university preferred.Successful college/high school experience required.
Successful
college/high school coaching experience.
Considerable
knowledge of the type of sport assigned.Ability to coach and lead a team.Leadership
skills.
