POSITION DESCRIPTION
POSITION TITLE: School Partnership Liaison
DEPARTMENT: College of Education SITE: Various
SALARY
SCHEDULE: APM GRADE: E
BASIC FUNCTION:
This
position reports to the Director of School Partnerships and has the specific
responsibility of establishing and maintaining a positive link between St.
Petersburg College and the schools districts in the service area.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Serving as liaison with districts to explain College of Education placement
needs

Serving as liaison with specific district personnel to resolve placement
issues
-
Contacting schools in service area districts to secure placements for College
of Education candidates
-
Representing the College of Education at school and district functions for the
purpose of securing additional placements and adjunct faculty
-
Cultivating new schools to develop additional placement sites
-
Conducting on going surveys of Classroom Cooperating Teachers (CCT) regarding
their satisfaction with SPC teacher candidates and the College of Education
-
Implementing creative marketing efforts - with prior approval of the Director
of School Partnerships - to strengthen relationships with each district

Tracking placements across various districts to identify trends and the
potential for future placements

Contacting district personnel for the purpose of establishing Professional
Development Schools (PDS) within a given district
-
Assisting the Director of School Partnerships with implementing measures of
efficiency

Recruiting supervisors
-
Other duties, as assigned
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree required.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
3 years
experience in K-12 education preferred.
KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES/SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Strong written and oral
communication skills. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Computer
skills. Knowledge of student system and database preferred
