POSITION DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE: Pre-Health/Health Education Tutor I

DEPARTMENT: Educational and Student Services  SITE: Various

SALARY SCHEDULE: OPS- GRADE: 1

BASIC FUNCTION:

Instructs students in a specialized learning laboratory or other similar instructional location, under the supervision of a professional faculty member or other staff person.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Tutoring only

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Student is doing well in or has passed the course for which he/she is tutoring.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

 Faculty recommendation.

KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Competence in the subject area assigned. Excellent communications skills. Ability to operate a computer. Ability to interact well with students and faculty. Ability to teach the subject area of assignment.
