POSITION DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE: Senior Web Analyst/Programmer

DEPARTMENT: Web and Instructional Technology Support    SITE: SE

SALARY SCHEDULE: Technical                                               GRADE: 4

BASIC FUNCTION:

Initiates and develops programs applicable to new systems or subsystems and coordinates work of analysts/programmers on major projects/applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Performs duties of a Web Analyst/Programmer.

·         Assists the Manager of Web Programming and Support in planning application maintenance and development.

·         Participates in departmental planning and prioritization.

·         Leads major projects assigned to Analyst/Programmers, Web Design Specialists, and other web development team members.

·         Assists other members of the web development team as needed.

·         Prepares and/or reviews program flow charts and logic development tools.

·         Writes documentation in support of systems. 

·         Facilitates and leads code reviews.  

·         Deals with all levels of College personnel to design, develop and maintain systems.

·         Acts as departmental contact when both the Executive Director and Manager are unavailable.

·         Performs related duties as required.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field that includes 2 or more years of programming coursework.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Three (3) years experience in programming with at least two years at Analyst level including experience in database design and development. One (1) year leadership experience in an application development team environment. Four (4) years of documented work experience including two years at a senior level can be considered in lieu of the Bachelor’s degree.

KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Proficiency in multiple programming languages and technologies in use and contemplated by the College (PHP, ASP, Java, etc.). Skill in functional and systems analysis.
