Full-Time Instructional Job Openings

To apply for a Full-Time Instructional position you must:

  • complete the appropriate online application (Administrative & Professional/Career Service, Instructional and/or Adjunct Instructional); failure to do so will disqualify you from consideration; and
  • complete an Applicant Pool Authorization Card stating the specific position for which you are applying; failure to do so will disqualify you from consideration.

Applications older than 180 days (approximately 6 months) will not be considered. If you applied for a position longer than 180 days prior to the date of submitting a Pool Authorization Card, you must submit a new, updated application. The new application will automatically supersede the prior application.

Minimum Requirements: Masters Degree in Library Information Science from an ALA accredited institution. Demonstrated commitment to the instructional role of librarians in ensuring General Ed outcomes for information literacy within higher education. Demonstrated application of new and emergent technologies in the promotion and provision of library services including instruction. Ability to work independently and as a member of multiple collaborative teams. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with culturally diverse students and adult learners. Strong commitment to service excellence. Excellent oral and written communication, organizational and technology skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Evidence of innovative collaborative work with discipline faculty and related student support units or comparable collaborative experience in academic, public or special library. 3-5 years experience in an academic library or joint-use library. Experience with LINCCWeb, Ex Libris Aleph library management system, course management software and distance librarianship.
