Your Answer: In this activity students will gain a basic understanding of Peer to Peer (P2P) networking fundamentals while exploring the legal and ethical use of P2P networks.

Your Answer: Student will understand how peer to peer networking works and be able to explain P2P networking in their own words. Students will work in teams to discuss their thoughts on the legalities and fairness of file sharing via peer to peer networks.

Your Answer: If online: Have students review the tutorial via the link to RLO for peer to peer networking Link to discussion forum in ANGEL. Ask students to discuss their thoughts on the file sharing via peer to peer networking. Is it legal to share copyrighted or for purchase materials with the general public? Ask the students to include any sources they wish to site that they use to back up their opinion. If face to face: Have students review the tutorial via the link to RLO for peer to peer networking Link to discussion forum in ANGEL. Ask students to break into small groups to discuss their thoughts on the file sharing via peer to peer networking. Is it legal to share copyrighted or for purchase materials with the general public? Ask the students to include any sources they wish to site that they use to back up their opinion. Ask each group to share their thoughts. The use of clicker technology would be appropriate as a tool for gathering pre and post discussion opinions from students.
