HELP WANTED: MAKE FLORIDA READY TO WORK

Florida Ready to Work is a new employee credentialing program that measures job skills and work habits. It gives employers a way to identify employees with the most potential and it gives jobseekers proof of their ability to succeed on the job. Florida Ready to Work helps take the guesswork out of the hiring process, saving employers time and money. The program is sponsored and funded by the state of Florida. There is no cost to employers or jobseekers.

The Florida Ready to Work credential is a personalized certificate, signed by Governor Charlie Crist.  To earn the credential, a jobseeker must take three, proctored assessments - applied math, reading for information and locating information.  These assessments test the skills required for more than 85% of all jobs today.

Corporate Training provides the online training and the proctored assessments for the employer and the jobseeker. The free course we are offering (see schedule below) allows the individual to review online material in all three assessment areas before sitting to take the proctored assessments. An employer may choose to direct a jobseeker to the course as part of the hiring process. Or, an employer who would like to schedule a separate time for a group of employees may call us 727-341-4445 or email us cts@spcollege.edu.

Please register for your opportunity to earn your credential! You must contact us to register at either 727-341-4445 or cts@spcollege.edu. Remember to allow enough time to practice the online review material before sitting for one of the following proctored assessment times.

Each of the following assessments is one hour:

  • Applied Mathematics
  • Reading for Information
  • Locating Information

The schedule below is in four-hour time blocks to allow for directions and breaks in between the three assessments.

Our course is offered on Tuesday afternoons or Friday mornings.
