FreedomCalls at St. Petersburg College

St. Petersburg College is pleased to announce that it is now an authorized site for Operation Freedom Calls. Freedom Calls Foundation, www.freedomcalls.org is a non-profit organization that provides military personnel stationed overseas and their families a unique form of communication. Through the technology of video conferencing, families can celebrate anniversaries, birthdays, graduations or weddings with their loved ones in Iraq. There are three camps in Iraq that have access to participate in this program. The University Partnership Center at the Seminole Campus is coordinating the logistics of the program with Freedom Calls Foundation in New York for people in the Tampa Bay area.

"Anything we can do to help the families of our military men and women, we will support 100%."

- Carl M. Kuttler, Jr.
  St. Petersburg College President

"Using SPC’s technology is a great way we as a college and community can come together in an innovative way to support our troops in Iraq."

- Lars A. Hafner
  Provost, St. Pete/Gibbs Campus
