Welcome to the Learning Support Commons

The Learning Support Commons provides academic resources and learning support to the SPC community. We are located in TE 200, and the Writing Studio which is in the Library.

The Learning Support Commons provides free tutoring and workshops to help you stay on top of your course work. Tutors are available in most subject areas. Below are great workshops that can enhance your learning abilities.

The Writing Studio staff can assist you in constructing your academic papers - from researching your topic to crafting a thesis to formatting the paper in MLA or APA style.

Computers

Our computers are equipped with course software to meet your needs. Please view the list of available software.

When visiting the Learning Support Commons or the Writing Studio, be sure to bring a flash drive to save your work. You may also save work using the SkyDrive available through your student email account.

Photo IDs

You can have your SPC Student ID made at the LSC. Student IDs are needed when checking out books from the SPC Libraries, exercising in the campus Fitness Center, or going to any SPC sport, music, or theatre event. Please bring a copy of your Fee Schedule and a photo ID.
