SELECTED PROFESSIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Linda Berghoff currently teaches Art History and Studio classes at St. Petersburg College, Tarpon Springs campus. Her professional experience is extensive. While at Tyler School of Art, she received graduate assistant scholarships both in Philadelphia and in Rome, Italy. Upon graduating she received the Lester and Violet Hecht Award for Printmaking and the Essie Baron Memorial Award for Artistic and Scholastic Achievement. She taught illustration and design at Newbury College in Boston, Massuchusetts, and received Massuchusetts lottery grants in 1987 and 1988. While in Rome, Italy she was invited to exhibit works in the "Solstizio" and "Roma Citta Aperta" exhibitions with Italian artists Paolo Canevari, Alighiero Boetti, and Oliviero Rainaldi. Upon returning to New York she was active in "Franklin Fests" open studios and the Open i Media Gallery. She also exhibited at the Aljira Center for Contemporary Art in Newark, N.J. Most recently she was invited to participate in the Tampa Museum’s "Undercurrent/Overview 6" exhibition series, and at the Lee Scarfone Gallery at the University of Tampa. She has been studio assistant at the Berghoff-Cowden collaborative workshops in Tampa working with Sam Gilliam, Miriam Schapiro, and others. She has also participated in workshops and panel discussions during the recently acclaimed exhibits – "Expanding Expressions" and "Transiti Italiani" at the Leepa Rattner Museum of Art on the Tarpons Springs campus.
