Employment Data:

Two types of longitudinal data are provided below, each reporting through the fifth subsequent year after completion. The Employment Retention files report the percent of completers who retain employment over a five year period. The Average Years Teaching files report the number of completers who were employed each year by how many years of employment they had as of that academic year. The average number of years teaching for each of the five academic years following program completion is also reported.

Employment data are based on information received from the FLDOE. Only completers working in a Florida public school are reported here. Each report includes 1st year - 5th year of employment data through the most recent academic year (2010-2011). Each report is updated annually, at the end of the spring semester. All employment reports were updated in March 2011.

• 2009-2010 1st year hire data: Hired in 2010-2011.

• 2008-2009 Employment Retention: 2008-09 completers that have retained employment every year through 2010-11.
• 2008-2009 Average Years Teaching: Number employed each year since program completion, regardless of year hired.

• 2007-2008 Employment Retention: 2007-08 completers that have retained employment every year through 2010-11.
• 2007-2008 Average Years Teaching: Number employed each year since program completion, regardless of year hired.

• 2006-2007 Employment Retention: 2006-07 completers that have retained employment every year through 2010-11.
• 2006-2007 Average Years Teaching: Number employed each year since program completion, regardless of year hired.

• 2004-2005 and 2005-2006 data: Before the new formula for calculating employment was released by the FLDOE, SPC reported length of stay by "average time in the classroom".
