St. Petersburg College is committed to the "open door" policy; therefore, students are given a reading placement test to insure students begin their college experience with the skills necessary to succeed.  The reading program includes both a traditional classroom experience as well as an individualized reading lab experience to insure instruction meets the needs of each student.   Students will develop reading skills and study skills to successfully continue college-level study.

Let us read with method, and propose to ourselves an end to which our studies may point.
