The traditional Japanese art of paper folding.

  • Student will create a representation of an object using geometric folds and crease patterns preferably without the use of gluing or cutting the paper, and using only one piece of paper.

Week 1 - Fishes of the Gulf of Mexico - This course includes learning the life cycles of selected marine fishes, field trip to collect specimens, fish Id lab, fish dissection, migration and distribution local species.

Week 2 - Invertebrates of the Gulf - This course includes learning the life cycles local invertebrates a Squid dissection, field collection of invertebrates.

Week 3 - Marine botany/ Maricature - This course includes studying the various sea grasses and marine algae of the Tampa Bay area, field collection as well. Second part includes the study and experiments raising fish and shrimp for food.

Week 4 - “Shark week” - The investigation of various shark species, a shark dissection, and a possible trip to go fishing for
