Weekly field trips and exciting hands-on labs in the classroom will reveal the wonders of two Pinellas County Islands. Weedon Island and Mullet Key are two unique ecosystems populated by exotic plants and animals. Come join us as we explore where the sea meets the shore. Bathing suits and fishing equipment will be necessary on certain days.

The class will be exploring Journalism for the four weeks of July, encompassing the powerful effects of print and non-print information. You can combine your talents and interests in composing literary works for enjoyment and informational purposes, along with developing skills using multimedia flip cameras and computers to explore the television aspects of journalism. Guest speakers and field trips are being arranged to allow you to experience the various aspects of the journalistic world.
