Driver Safety Programs

St. Petersburg College offers driver safety courses at SPC campuses and online through Ticket School.com. Whether you received a ticket, need to get your first license, or comply with a court order, SPC offers: Basic Driver Improvement ($30), Advanced Driver Improvement ($75), and Learner's Permit Course ($35, online only).

Basic Driver Improvement

Drivers wishing to avoid points or were ordered to take a Traffic Collision Avoidance Course (TCAC) can attend our four-hour Basic Driver Improvement course, that costs $30.

Ticket School Online offers this course for a fee of $35.

Advanced Driver Improvement

The Advanced Driver Improvement course is a 12-hour seminar combining positive and practical teaching, whether individuals lost their license due to excessive points or habitual traffic offenses, or were court-ordered to complete the course. The course costs $75.

This course is also available online for a fee of $99.

Learners Permit Course

Anyone who wishes to apply for a driver’s license who has never been issued one in the state of Florida or any other jurisdiction must take a four-hour Drug and Alcohol Education/Learner's Permit Course. Students successfully completing this class will receive a certificate that must be returned to the driver’s license office before they can receive a license.

This course is only available online and costs $35.

By calling (727) 341-4489 to register using MasterCard, VISA or American Express.

By faxing a completed registration form to (727) 341-4547. Please include credit card account number and expiration date. Failure to include this credit card information will delay the processing of your class registration.

By paying in person at any SPC campus business office.

By mailing a completed registration form along with your payment to:
