The ICD-10-CM & ICD-10-PCS coding systems have been mandated by U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and are scheduled for implementation in the United States on October 1, 2013. This change applies to healthcare facilities and providers that bill Medicare, Medicaid and Third Party Payors for services. The realization of these classification systems will enable the US to be able to exchange clinical data on an international scale.

In an interactive learning environment, these courses will provide participants with a comprehensive overview of the ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS classification systems. At the conclusion of each course all participants will have the opportunity to complete an individualized assessment to benchmark current skill levels and assess additional educational needs prior to the implementation of this new coding system.

Day 1: ICD-10-CM Overview
Contact Hours: 6 AHIMA CEU's and 6 AAPC CEU's.
The course content of Day 1 is recommended for Inpatient coders, Coding Managers, Physician Coders and Billers, Practice Managers, Physicians, CDI Specialists, Compliance officers, Insurance Company Coders and Educators. Completion of this course will include 6 AHIMA CEU's.

Day 2: ICD-10-PCS Overview
Contact Hours: 5.5 AHIMA CEU's and 5.5 AAPC CEU's.
The course content of Day 2 is recommended for Inpatient coders, Coding Managers, CDI Specialists, Compliance officers, Insurance Company Coders and Educators.
Completion of this course will include 6 AHIMA CEU's.
