IV Clinical Day (Upon
Request)
Provides any Health Care Provider who has completed the
30-hour IV Therapy Course a better understanding of infusion
practice. Licensed participants will be given the
opportunity to gain hands-on precepted practice with an
infusion certified instructor in an acute care environment.
Multiple IV therapy/infusion experiences will be available,
including peripheral IV placements, central catheter
dressing changes, and IV medications and fluid
administration.
A Pre-Test, as well as the individual's
healthcare discipline, will dictate which hands-on
procedures will be available and/or allowed. Observation
only sessions are available for Pharmacists and Nursing
Students.
