AAP0633 Understanding Stocks, Bonds & Money |
|
|
With the demise of defined benefit retirement programs, the responsibility for creation, preservation and management of personal wealth, both before and after retirement, has been shifted from business and government organizations to individuals. One of the primary means of wealth creation is through financial instruments: stocks, bonds, mutual funds and money markets. This course is intended for individuals who have little knowledge of these instruments but wish to become more familiar with their characteristics as well as the environment in which they participate in the creation of wealth and additional sources of information available. Upon completion of this course, students will be able to incorporate this knowledge in planning their financial future. Hal Hultman, an SPC adjunct professor, will guide students into understanding successful investing. |
