The Wedding Planner Certificate offered at St. Petersburg College is perfect for the individual looking to get started in the wedding planning business right away. In partnership with The Wedding Planning Institute, St. Petersburg College's Lifelong Learning Department is offering this hands-on program which covers everything a wedding planner needs to know!
Whether you are a seasoned wedding planner seeking certification, you plan on working part-time, or making this a full-time career, this program is for you! It will provide you with all of the tools necessary to obtain an industry certification to work as a wedding planner or to start your own wedding planning business. The WPI Wedding Planner Certification program covers everything a wedding planner needs to know from start to finish including venue contracts, etiquette, flowers, music, day of services, marketing, business practices, trade secrets, industry specific applications and more!
Additional Course Information:
- Registration fee includes manuals, books, CD's, online videos, downloadable templates, and access to on-line student support class.
- Students must pass a written and a practical final exam as well as attend the entire program in order to successfully complete the certification program.
- Certificates will be mailed out approximately 2 weeks after the last class meeting or completion of the online exam.
- All students will be asked to complete an evaluation of both the course and instructor.
All students receive access to all online materials prior to the seminar. This allows time to review course materials, lessons, videos and assignments before attending the class. Class time is utilized to implement what is learned from the course materials and put new business formulas and design tools into practice and application.
The course gives students the opportunity to interact with local vendors, take a site tour and even witness an actual wedding ceremony. Getting new perspectives and insider information from fellow students as well as gaining insight from a seasoned wedding planner instructor are added benefits for our students.

AAP0300 - The course is offered in partnership with The Wedding Planning Institute and Lifelong Learning. It is a 40-hour course covering everything a wedding planner needs to know from start to finish, including venue contracts, wedding etiquette, flowers, music, day of services, marketing, business practices, trade secrets, industry-specific applications and more. Field trips are included. Students must pass a written and practical final exam as well as attend the entire program to successfully complete certification. Note: All course materials are included in the fee. |
