Captain Jay Hebert
Florida National Guard

CPT Jay Hebert began his military career in the Marin Corps from 1982 to 1986. He joined the Florida Army National Guard in 1993 as an Air Traffic Controller. CPT Hebert graduated from Officer Candidate School in August 1995 and joined the 53rd Combat Support Battalion. He has served in several positions ranging from platoon leader, commodity manager, to company commander for a supply and transportation company with 300 soldiers. He currently serves as the logistics officer for the 53rd Supposrt Counterdrug Task Force (MCTFT) Training Program located at St. Petersburg College.

CPT Hebert and his unit have been called upon by the State of Florida to provide humanitarian relief and support to victims of Hurricane Opal in 1995, the flooding in Miami in 2000, and all four hurricanes during the fall of 2004.

CPT Hebert earned a BS in Management from the University of South Florida, and an AA from St. Petersburg Junior College. He can be reachedl at (727) 865-2615.
