Preston D. Cook, CEM
Acting Executive Director, Orange Coutny Office of Emergency Management

Mr. Cook is a native of Birmingham, Alabama. Prior to relocating to Florida, he served fire years in the United States Army specializing in secure communications within the military intelligence community. His career with Orange County began in June 1991, and was confirmed as a Certified Emergency Manger *CEM) by the International Association of Emergency Managers in 1998.

As assistant Executive Director, Mr. Cook is repsonsible for the activation and supervision of Orange County's 4000 sq. F. state-of-the-art Emergency Operations Center (EOC) which is committed to coordinating emergency functions with local, state, and federal emergency response agencies in conjunction with other related utility, healthcare, transportation, business, civil defense and disaster relief circumstances also falls within the realm of responsibility.
