1. Your schedule must be very flexible. Please, no night or weekend classes for two sessions.
2. You must be a full-time SPC student that is enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours
3. You must maintain a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0. If your cumulative GPA falls below the 2.0 requirement, you will not remain on the cheerleading squad.
4. You will cheer for men's and women's basketball, and possibly for women's volleyball. Cheerleaders will perform at pep rallies and any functions representing St. Petersburg College.
5. The practice will be set once the squad is chosen.
6. If you complete the first of 12 or more credit hours with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or better and fulfills the cheerleader guidelines and responsibilities, you will receive a stipend during Session II.
7. The college will purchase the uniform (which must be returned) and shoes, etc.
8. Supplemental insurance is provided by the college, which covers the balance of a claim after your primary insurance pays.
   

CHEER CLINIC & TRYOUT GUIDELINES

1. Wear dark shorts and a white shirt.
2. Wear support shoes only - no Keds™. Wear socks at all times.
3. Wear hair away from face (pulled back).
4. No heavy make-up.
5. No jewelry (rings, watches, bracelets, ankle chains).
6. No gum.
7. Be on time
8. No family members or friends during the clinic and tryouts.
9. No visible tattoos, nails must be neat and short at all times.
10. No eye, nose, tongue rings. This also applies to practice and games. Belly rings must be kept covered.
