Head Coach - Scott White

Coach White is entering his fourth season as Had Coach at St. Petersburg College with continued and accelerating improvement.  His second season record showed a 17% improvement over his first; his third season was 26% better then the second.  Coach White's players has set 4 school records and recorded 13 All-Conference selections, 2 All-State selections, 3 All-Tournament Selections at the State Tournament, and one NJCAA All-American.   Coach White's players also excel in the classroom with 22 Academic Honors including 2 National Academic All-Americans.  Coach White's career record is now 103 - 60, 0.632 winning percentage.

Scott brings to St. Petersburg College a background of competitive volleyball and leadership. Scott was a four-year starter for the University of Michigan's volleyball team including three time all conference selections, several all tournament honors, and team captain. After college, Coach White competed in USA Volleyball and earned regional MVP awards, National Championship All Rookie Team, 11 regional championships, and four top 5 finishes at the National Championships. Scott has played and coached with and against some of the best volleyball players in the world and is working to bring that competitive spirit to this team. Coach White holds a Bachelor and Master Degrees in Engineering from the University of Michigan.

Assistant Coach - Maria Drew

Maria Drew grew up in Nashville, Tennessee. She was a scholarship athlete in both Tennis and Volleyball at Florida A&M University where she graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree.  Still a competitive tennis player, she has won several area tournaments and has recently returned from a USTA team competition in Naples.  She taught and coached in the DeKalb County School System (Atlanta) for several years before moving to St. Petersburg with her husband, Don, who is also employed by the college as a Mathematics Instructor.
