Coach Girardi enters his second year as head coach at St. Petersburg College. He has spent the last 15 years teaching tennis. He is in his 13th year as Head Professional and Director of Tennis at Treasure Bay Golf and Tennis in Treasure Island. He has trained the varsity and junior varsity programs at Admiral Farragut Academy for 12 years. In 2006, his team of 18-and-under juniors won the National United States Tennis Association (USTA) Jr. Team Tennis Championships in Tucson, Ariz. This team has won numerous Sectional Titles in his time at Treasure Bay.
He is a Professional Tennis Registry trained professional, is involved with the United States Tennis Association, serving as District Director and star clinician, and is on the Board of Directors for the Florida Section and the National USTA Junior Team Tennis Council.
Coach Girardi graduated from East Bay High School in Riverview where he began his tennis career. He played up to the open USTA Division and became a teaching pro in 1992.
