Orthotics & Prosthetics Admission Requirements
  • Application for Admission.
  • Official transcripts showing an associate in arts (AA) degree, an associate in science (AS) degree in a related-area, or 60 credit hours from a regionally accredited institution.   • The completion of 15 semester hours of transferable general education coursework if the 2-year degree is an associate of science (AS) degree rather than associate in arts (AA degree).
  • Official transcripts from high school(s) or GED. Students who have submitted transcripts that document a fully accredited A.A., bachelor's or higher degree are not required to submit a high school transcript, unless it documents completion of two consecutive years of one foreign language.
  • A cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale in all postsecondary coursework.
  • Completion of following prerequisites courses with "C" or higher.

  • A personal letter of introduction, outlining your career goals, objectives, and previous work, service, or academic experience. Please note if you are currently finishing prerequisite courses, the courses must be completed by the start of the program. Interviews, if required, will be held by appointment.
  • One (1) letter of recommendation is required. This letter should be submitted by an individual that knows and can speak to your relevant background information, communication abilities, potential diagnostic and fabrication skills, potential patient management skills, and your ability to contribute to the field of Orthotics and Prosthetics.
  • A valid Health Care Provider C.P.R. certificate. This must also be kept valid through the duration of the program.
  • Successful completion of a background check and drug screen.
  • PLEASE NOTE — Due to limited space, admission to the program is not ensured by only meeting the college admission requirements. Additional selection criteria will be applied.
