As former superintendents in Ontario, Ralph Cuthbertson and Jim Watt, in partnership with the St. Petersburg College staff and staff from the District School Board of Pasco County, have worked to establish an elementary teacher certification program for Canadian students at St. Petersburg College. Ralph and Jim have a combined 60 years of experience as teachers, vice principals, and administrators.
The "Especially for Canadians" program got off to a very successful start in January 2006. With Ralph and Jim as consultants, St. Petersburg College is excited to be a part of an initiative that provides a pathway for Canadian students to enter the teaching profession.
