Autism Courses Leading to Endorsement

SPC has developed 3 sets of new courses (12 credits total) designed to address the competencies and requirements for the State of Florida Autism Endorsement. All autism courses are online!

Educator Preparation Institute - EPI

The EPI is an alternative certification program for students with a non-education bachelor's degree or higher. Education curriculum and field experiences are combined in an accelerated, three semester format which provides a rich, intensive learning experience. Students who complete the three term cycle will be eligible to obtain Florida's Professional teaching certificate.

New! Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Course Work

SPC is introducing four ESE online courses to assist secondary general education teachers update classroom skills for teaching ESE inclusion students.

Professional Preparation to Full Certification

This program is for currently employed teachers on a temporary certificate who need to complete education courses to obtain professional certification.

Certification Renewal and Reinstatement Course Work

For currently certified teachers or those who want to reinstate an expired certificate and Florida teachers who are already certified but need 6 credit hours every five years to renew their permanent certificate.

Career and Technical Education

Currently employed vocational-technical education teachers in areas such as automotive, health occupations, cosmetology or public service are required to take four ECT courses to gain or maintain district certification.
