Wendall Ware graduated from St.
Petersburg Junior College in 1939. He stated that his memories at
the College “stand out above all other educational opportunities.”
He wanted to give students and faculty an opportunity to use
his collection of
manuscripts, books, newspapers, public records, diaries and
television scripts that he gathered for the highly successful
microform publishing business he developed.
In 1999, Mr. Ware donated
his $1.9-million collection of more than 25-million microfiche pieces
named for his English teacher, M. Carolyn Parker
because of the support and encouragement he received from her.
