Dual Enrollment Program Checklist
- See your guidance counselor to verify that you are
eligible and get a referral for College Placement Testing.
- Identify courses on the Approved Course List you
want to take.
- Fill out a St. Petersburg College application. The application fee is waived for
Dual Enrollment, Early College and Early Admission students.
- Take the College Placement Test (CPT).
- Provide a copy of your CPT results to your high school
guidance counselor, who will help you complete the PCS
Permission Form and select your courses at SPC. Please see the list of approved courses and step-by-step registration and class selection information.
- You must obtain an SPC student ID before you can access
campus resources.
- Go to MySPC and
follow the step by step procedure to search for classes.
- Call the SPC Dual Enrollment office to register for your
SPC class. Public school students will not be registered
until the Pinellas County Schools (PCS) Permission Form is received from the school.
Registration can only be completed through the Dual
Enrollment Office.
- You will receive your class schedule and Textbook Form
(public school students only) in the mail. Take the Textbook
Form to the bookstore at the campus you will attend.
(The books are the property of the Pinellas County
School Board and must be returned to the bookstore
at the end of the course.)
- Take a copy of your SPC schedule to your guidance
counselor as soon as you receive it.
- At the completion of the class, you are responsible
for giving a copy of your final grade to your guidance
counselor. The college does not automatically forward
the grade to the high school. You can log into
MySPC and file an online request
for a transcript.
A college GPA of 2.0 (C average) is required to remain
in the Dual Enrollment program.
