Q. How do I get started in the Dual Enrollment program?

A: Complete an application to become a St. Petersburg College student (there is no application fee for Dual Enrollment students).

Q. What is the cost to participate in Dual Enrollment?

A: Tuition is free for all qualified students. Public school students are provided free textbooks. Home school and private school students must buy their textbooks.

Q. Do I have to take the College Placement Test (CPT)?

A: Yes. The placement test will indicate readiness for college level work. SAT or ACT scores may be used if the scores meet college standards.

Q. How do I register for classes?

A: All registration for Dual Enrollment classes is completed by phone or in person with the Dual Enrollment office.

Q. How do I qualify for Dual Enrollment?

A: Entering students must have an unweighted gradepoint average of 3.0 or above.

Q. What is the role of the high school?

A: Public and private schools must issue permission forms to the Dual Enrollment office. Home school students must be registered with Pinellas County Schools.
