How To Report An Emergency

Report all life threatening emergencies; medical, fire, explosion, chemical spill or release, bomb threat, hostile person(s) and threat of suicide by dialing 911 from college phones, pay phones or off-site phones (it is not necessary to dial 9 before 911).

Give the 911 Operator the following information:

1. Type of emergency

2. Location – campus or site

3. Building name

4. Room number or exact location of emergency

5. Your name and title

6. Telephone number you are calling from

7. Do not hang up until the 911 Operator has obtained the information needed

8. Call Security Dispatch Ext. 2560
