The St. Petersburg College Foundation, Inc. is committed to student success! Towards that end, we have taken the challenge to raise awareness, dedication and funds to meet the needs of a growing number of people seeking to earn their educations at St. Petersburg College.
2007 was another banner year for St. Petersburg College. The college saw an 11 percent increase in enrollment – with more than 65,000 full- and part-time students annually. Our e-Campus enrollment for students taking courses online has grown 37.7 percent from last year.
The Foundation announced recently that it will offer nearly $1.4 million in scholarships during the upcoming 2007-08 school year, almost a 50 percent increase over the previous year. This comes at a time when education funding from the state may see a 4 to 10 percent reduction.
"SPC has many scholarship opportunities for worthy students," said Paul Hanna, executive director of the SPC Foundation. "We expect our donors will be especially generous during this time."

On Sept. 14, 2007, the college celebrated its 80th anniversary. Foundation Mission Statement
The St. Petersburg College Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) corporation chartered under Florida statutes, serving as a direct support organization of St. Petersburg College. In support of the vision and mission of SPC, the Foundation accepts and prudently manages all gifts including cash, securities, property, bequests and trust or life-income arrangements.
The Foundation is guided by a Board of Directors composed of professional, business and civic leaders who are vitally interested in higher education in the greater Tampa Bay area.
The St. Petersburg College Foundation, Inc. promotes the practice of philanthropy through partnerships with the community for the advocacy of higher education in general and specifically at SPC, for (1) the provision of student scholarships, awards and financial grants, (2) the advancement of teaching and instructional services, (3) new and improved facilities and (4) state-of-the-art technology.
