Orthotics and Prosthetics Campaign
In the United States, 156,000 individuals lose a limb annually. More than 1.5-million American amputees will need ongoing care in addition to the 54-million Americans who experience functional limitations due to an impairment or health condition.
Florida law now requires new orthotists and prosthetists to have a bachelor's degree and pass a national exam for certification. There are only three baccalaureate programs to train orthotists and prosthetists in the United States and SPC will be the first in the southeastern United States.
Contact us for detailed information about facility naming opportunities and program underwritings. Our online giving tools make donating to St. Petersburg College quick and simple.
