SPC baccalaureate offerings
In June 2001, Florida's governor signed legislation making SPC the first community college in the state of Florida to offer four-year degrees. On December 11, 2001, the college received the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools' accreditation to offer courses leading to bachelor's degrees.

In August 2002, St. Petersburg College began offering courses leading to bachelor's degrees in Education, Nursing and Technology Management. A year later, SPC was the first college in the state to offer a four-year degree in Dental Hygiene. Four-year degree programs in Banking, International Business, Veterinary Technology, Public Safety Administration, Paralegal Studies and Orthotics and Prosthetics are also up and running.

SPC’s first baccalaureate graduates received their degrees on July 26, 2003.  “These students truly are history makers,” said Tom Furlong, SPC’s senior vice president for Baccalaureate Programs and University Partnerships. Courses for all of these degrees are offered online through our eCampus. Your donations to this innovative program enable us to continue to add new programs to the list and open access to students aimed at a four-year degree.

Our online giving tools make donating to St. Petersburg College quick and simple.
