POSITION DESCRIPTION
POSITION TITLE: Curriculum Designer (Staff & Professional Development)
DEPARTMENT: Human Resources / Staff & Professional Development SITE: EpiCenter
SALARY SCHEDULE: A&P - GRADE: A
BASIC FUNCTION:
Responsible for curriculum and multimedia design for Staff and Professional Development program, to include content, as well as the design of graphics, audiovisual presentations, manuals and instructional aids.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
v Develops curriculum and multi-media education support materials.
v Designs Internet-based training documents.
v Uses current and cutting-edge technology to create or adapt web-based training.
v Identifies program needs and designs curriculum content.
v Meets with subject matter experts to discuss and develop training materials.
v Develops multimedia instructional presentations for face-to-face, blended and online delivery.
v Conducts professional develop workshops/classes.
v Maintains and monitors professional development program schedule on website.
v Travels to different college sites as necessary.
v Performs related duties as required.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in instructional system design, curriculum planning or related field. Master's degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Three (3) years experience in curriculum and multimedia design.
KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of practices and procedures involved in staff development and professional training. Ability to design, develop, implement, and conduct professional development workshops/classes. Knowledge of computer information systems and multimedia development. Knowledge of desk top publishing. Ability to write clear and concise text. Skill in analyzing information from various media and incorporating the data into presentations. Ability to travel to different college sites as necessary. Ability to handle sensitive situations in an appropriate manner. Excellent interpersonal skills.
