BASIC FUNCTION:
This position is responsible for working closely
with Baccalaureate Administration and the individual program(s) they are
assigned to coordinate curricular aspects of the various academic
programs. The Director of Curriculum and Program Management manages
assessment and other associated issues that promote or impact the success of
all baccalaureate students. As such, this position must be thoroughly familiar
with accrediting standards. Travel among all campus locations is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists
the Deans to develop and manage the academic schedule of courses for all
sessions.
- Monitors
enrollment and productivity for all assigned programs.
- Consults
with faculty and the Dean to recommend improvements to the curriculum
based data collected from various aspects of the program.
- Oversees
and monitors all formal assessments (including pre-assessments) within the
academic curriculum.
- Conducts
information sessions to keep stakeholders informed of changes or
additions.
- Manages
lab fees for all courses, updating as needed.
- Coordinates
the process of developing new curriculum and curriculum revisions with the
Dean, SPC’s Curriculum & Instruction Committee and with accrediting
entities.
- Performs
other duties as required.
- Coordinates
the faculty advisors and provides training.
- Ensures
all program goals are being appropriately assessed and measured.
- Uses
data to make decisions.
- Coordinates
credentialing of all faculty members.
- Ensures
C&I documents have meaningful and measureable objectives.
- Supports
new program development activity: recruitment of consultants, conducting
surveys, marketing and other tasks.
- Provides
administrative support for various baccalaureate committees:
- Student
Affairs – handbook revisions and updates; new student online orientation;
student progression/action plans for success; grants for student
retention/success initiatives
- Curriculum
– three year review/flex access; articulation; academic round table and
other QEP initiatives, textbook and syllabi
- Evaluation
– prepare course and end of program surveys; primary contact for evaluation
plan
- Faculty
Affairs – aggregate data for faculty outcome reporting
- Evaluates
faculty and student feedback, analyses data and prepares plans for program
improvement
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Doctorate preferred, Master’s degree in
Higher Education, Curriculum and Instruction, Adult Education, or related field
considered
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Five (5) years experience in curriculum
development or in a related area.
KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES/SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Strong written and oral communication
skills. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Computer skills.
Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders, educational policy
makers, and decision makers. Demonstrated ability to work with faculty,
staff, administrators, and the community. Demonstrated leadership
ability.
