TITLE: Director, Grants & Contract Development, Allstate Center

BASIC
FUNCTION:
Reports
to the Campus Executive Officer and assumes responsibility for and assists in
the procurement, development, processing and submission of grant and contract
proposals for Allstate Center.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identifies
grant and contract opportunities and funding sources.
- Identifies
and researches external resources and cultivates internal and external
resources to successfully complete proposals to compete for funding.
- Works
with department heads and primary investigators to expedite grants and
contracts from submission to closure.
- Researches
and collects pertinent data needed for grant development.
- Completes
all paperwork necessary for board approval of grant submissions and
modifications.
- Prepares
summary reports of grants and contracts as needed by management and
administration.
- Supports
all program managers and administrators in the preparation, production of
proposals and communication with funding sources and program managers
- Assists
and counsels related to items of compliance with all requirements
and management of all aspects of the grants and contracts when
awarded
- Reviews
pertinent professional literature and other resources to identify funding
opportunities
- Coordinates
college and campus work with internal and external groups to promote
college-wide and campus grant projects, assure efficient coordination and
avoid duplication of efforts
- Maintains
continual contact with external network and funding agencies at the
federal, state and local levels and markets the funding needs of the
college and Allstate center to potential partners and funders
- Disseminate
information about funding sources and opportunities to appropriate
department heads and staff
- Develops
proposals and monitors progress of proposal after submission
- Monitors
progress of submitted proposals to ensure that all required procedures are
being met
- Writes
or assist in writing reports as required by funding source
- Responsible
for seeking grants & contracts and partnerships for grants and
contracts on an annual basis
- Performs
related duties as required
EDUCATIONAL
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors
degree with related partnership and grant development experience required,
Masters Degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE
REQUIREMENTS:
Four
(4) years experience in a professional setting related to public safety, community
development or other non-governmental organizations. Experience in researching,
developing programmatic proposals to government and private funding sources
including development of curriculum/programs, budgets and budget narrative
timelines and job descriptions
KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES/SKILL
REQUIREMENTS:
Must
be experienced and accomplished in researching, developing and maintaining
internal and external working relationships and must have the ability to work
collaboratively and create mutually beneficial partnerships. Excellent written
and verbal communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. Excellent
computer skills. Good working knowledge of grant development and management
process. Ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple
task/projects simultaneously.
